Multi-function ATMs for Indian banking sector

HCL Infosystems has partnered with Korea based Nautilus Hyosung, to provide complete ATM solutions for Indian banks across the country with special emphasis on service offering for rural India. Under the agreement, the organisation will provide a range of products and services to the Indian banking sector.
SBI to set up biometric ATMs in Gujarat, India

The State Bank of India (SBI) is planning to install 150 touch-screen biometric ATM machines across the state of Gujarat by the end of the year 2009. The initiative is aimed to reach out to the rural and under privileged population who can withdraw cash on the basis of their thumb impression.
NABRAD launches e-Banking facility in rural Balangir

ICICI Bank and the International Finance Corp (IFC) will soon start micro deposit machines to take banking services to the doorsteps of the poor. With the use of smart cards and these machines, people can make deposits at any time and and get a receipt at the point of transaction without any paperwork.
