management and program production aspects". cr-india is a discussion list on Community radio in India. It discusses various
policy level regulatory issues currently faced by the user community in this sector.
Under the Yahoo group, ‘bytesforall_readers’, created in June 2001, is open for readers and supporters who want to take part and want to be updated with ICT and development related issues in South Asia. This discussion list is a sister concern of Bytes for All initiative (http://www.bytesforall.org) and is an extension of Bytes for All original list (bytesforall@yahoogroups.com), which focuses mostly on Bytes for All activities. This is an open forum where anyone can subscribe and can post their messages. The purpose is to have a free flow of information and a lively debate/discussion on people oriented IT practices in South Asia.
‘India egov’, a discussion group by Yahoo, and moderated by Sameer Sachdeva (ex-government official), founded in January 2003, focuses on e-Governance initiatives in India.
The focus of ‘india-gii’ discussion list, moderated by Arun Mehta, is the telecom scenario in India. Attempts are also made to compare the Indian model with other countries, and to look into the regulatory issues pertaining to pricing, monopolies, privitisation, structuring, etc.
